MATTHEW FLYNN | VICE PRESIDENT OF PUBLICITY AT JGPR

Vice President of Publicity, Matthew Flynn has worked at JGPR since the company was launched eight years ago.  He previously worked for James Grant at MRG – The Michael Russell Group working on all of MRG’s east coast and bi-coastal accounts.

Over the past eight years at JGPR, Flynn has worked on media outreach and celebrity outreach on a wide range of JGPR A-List charity events in New York, Los Angeles and Washington D.C. including: The National Committee on American Foreign Policy Gala at the Metropolitan Club honoring Joe Biden; The Women’s Media Awards honoring Hillary Clinton, Ashley Judd and Jane Fonda; Cinema for Peace honoring Sting and the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation at the Harvard Club; The Culture Project Gala hosted by  Kyra Sedgwick; The “Variety” Oscar screening series, and Oscar short-listed documentary “Under Our Skin”; The YWCA Women of Distinction Gala in Washington D.C honoring Eva Longoria; The Women Who Care Awards  honoring Robin Roberts, and Cyndi Lauper; The Elly Awards hosted by The Women’s Forum of New York honoring Mariska Hargitay and the stars of “Hamilton”; The White House Project EPIC Awards hosted by Geena Davis; The Moving Families Forward Gala honoring Colin Farrell; The Mental Health Association of NYC Gala honoring Brandon Marshall; The Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health’s Black Tie & Sneaker Gala honoring Soledad O’Brien; The ADAPT Community Network Celebrity Golf Tournament; the launch of the ADAPT Leadership Awards Gala honoring Al Roker & Deborah Roberts; The Courage In Journalism Awards in Beverly Hills hosted by Cynthia McFadden with Aaron Eckhart; and a Special Evening with John Waters at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).

In addition, Flynn has been a substantial part of the JGPR’s marketing team overseeing marketing for best-selling author & finance expert Mary Buffett, as well as composer & writer Georgia Shreve. He has worked on long term strategic marketing for the architecture firm HOK, along with the Loreen Arbus Foundation, and ADAPT Community Network.

He is a graduate of Sacred Heart University where he studied business, marketing, and advertising. Matthew worked in public relations for Clear Channel & iHeartRadio prior to his work with Grant at MRG NY and JGPR.
